Bins left on the verge
Common reasons why bins are left out on the verge:
- high levels of contamination
- overfull
- too heavy (bins over 70kgs cannot be pick-up by the waste trucks)
- resident has not walked the bins back into the property.
How long is too long?
- More than 24 hours after the collection.
- Bins can be placed out no earlier than the evening before the collection day.
How should bins be stored?
Bins must be stored on your property between collections, not on the footpath, verge or street
